Warehousing Management of Danone in Morocco

Background
 
DANONE Group has its headquarters in Paris, France. It is a multinational food company with diversified businesses. The company operates in six continents that cover more than 120 countries and regions. To enhance the visualization of inventory management and improve the efficiency of commodity logistics, Danone in Morocco has reached a cooperation with our company and successfully configured the C66 handheld computer for the intelligent management of warehousing and logistics.
 
Challenges
 
1. Danone warehouses store a wide variety of goods. The traditional method of doing the stock in-out and sorting process is inefficient and error-prone. 
2. Managers cannot obtain accurate inventory entry and exit information in real-time that makes the procurement plan standstill in the first place. It creates a problem of understocking of goods and disturbs the routine operation of the company.
3. It is impossible to find a specific good in the warehouse accurately and quickly, and the order goods configuration takes a long time.
4. Managers cannot fully control the entire supply chain process of goods from storage, transportation to distribution, and management is inconvenient.
 
Solution
 
Chainway equipped the Morocco Danone group with the intelligent C66 handheld computers that are integrated with warehousing & logistics distribution applications. The solution introduces barcode scanning technology in Morocco Danone’s warehouses and logistics distribution management. It assigns each product with a unique identity (Exclusive ID Certificate) of a QR code. In the later stages of warehousing operations, product inventory, order sorting, etc., the staff can scan the QR code information through C66 to quickly and accurately collect and compare the product. It significantly improves the store inventory and product classification management. The new solution increases the efficiency & accuracy of the picking process as well, which improves the warehouse and logistics supply chain process.
 
Effects
 
1. Through the application of C66, staff can more accurately and quickly complete operations such as warehouse storage, commodity inventory, and commodity sorting, which saves a lot of time, energy, and improves work efficiency.
2. The product data information can be intelligently entered through the handheld terminal and transmitted to the management system in real-time for data update, effectively ensuring the consistency of the accounts and the physical objects.
3. Improvement in the efficiency of commodity storage and exit reduces manual operation errors. It also helps in allocating goods more timely and effectively to ensure a sufficient supply of goods.
4. Managers can effectively understand the real-time status of distribution and cargo transportation. They can better optimize the management of the entire supply chain and improve overall operational efficiency.
5. The C66 handheld terminal helps the management in optimizing the warehouse cargo configuration. Now the warehouse space is saved, and the storage space utilization rate is also improved.
6. The improvement of warehousing and logistics operation efficiency has promoted the entire product sales service and customer satisfaction.
